RESIDENCE PERMIT


All foreigners in Portugal must have a travel document that is valid for three months beyond the expected period of stay, a visa if applicable, sufficient financial assets and cannot be included in the list of non-admissible persons.

European citizens and residents of the following countries do not need a visa to enter Portugal:

Albânia, Andorra, Antiga República Jugoslava da Macedónia, Antígua e Barbuda, Argentina, Austrália, Bahamas, Barbados, Bósnia-Herzegovina, Brasil, Brunei, Canadá, Chile, Colômbia, Coreia do Sul, Costa Rica, Domínica, Emirados Árabes Unidos, Estados Unidos da América, Geórgia, Granada, Guatemala, Honduras, Ilhas Marshall, Ilhas Salomão, Israel, Japão, Macedónia, Malásia, Maurícia, México, Micronésia, Moldávia, Mónaco, Montenegro, Nauru, Nicarágua, Nova Zelândia, Palau, Panamá, Paraguai, Peru, Quiribati, Salvador, Samoa, Santa Lúcia, Santa Sé, São Cristóvão e Neves, São Marinho, São Vicente e Granadinas, Seicheles, Sérvia, Singapura, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Trindade e Tobago, Tuvalu, Ucrânia, Uruguai, Vanuatu, Venezuela

1- The exemption applies only to holders of biometric passports.
2- Excluding holders of Serbian passports issued by the Serbian Coordination Directorate (Koordinaciona uprava).
3- The visa waiver applies to passport holders of the "Hong Kong Special Administrative Region".
4- The visa waiver applies to passport holders from the "Administrative Region of Macau".
5- Applicable to Taiwanese nationals who hold passports issued by Taiwan that contain an identity card number.
